2018 Summer Recap

Even though we’re sad to see summer coming to a close, we will always have the fun memories we made together! Each month, we had around 200 ICDC kids attend our camps, and it was our pleasure to take trips to Chik-Fil-A, the Children’s Museum, the Fish Gallery and learn art from Miss Isabelle.

The last day of summer camp is August 10th. After which, ICDC will be closed August 13 and 14 for a professional development day.

With the school year right around the corner, don’t forget about meeting your teachers and enrichment providers for the 2018–2019 school year! Master Cho, Miss Mary, Miss Virginia and Miss Plsyball will be available to register the children. Partial-day and school-day programs will meet August 8, 4–5 p.m. The Full-day program will meet August 9, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

ICDC Goes International

What a wonderful week to travel with our families and learn so much about their family traditions and culture. Thank you to all the families and students who participated and shared all about their traditions!

Veggie Village Field Trip

The children in the 4 & 5 year-old classes enjoyed a trip to Interfaith’s Veggie Village located at Wendtwood in Creekside. Ms. Sarah, the Interfaith Garden Coordinator, read stories and explained all about the community garden maintained by volunteers. Children were able to taste plants straight out of the garden! We love this example of how ICDC takes learning outside of the classroom with the hands-on integration of learning.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Family Night!

Interfaith Child Development Center hosted annual Silent Auction and Family Evening on Friday, March 23rd.  The theme was “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Children enjoyed Kona Ice, face painting, cookie decorating and a Taekwondo demonstration by Cho Taekwondo while parents browse over 140 silent auction items.

This annual event is the school’s primary fundraiser which is possible by the hard work of ICDC’S Parents Club and wonderful volunteers. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the school. Thank you to all the parents, staff and volunteers who made this event a great success.
